Welfare facilities such as cultural houses, schools, hospitals, and berths are either being modernised or built.
Provinces asked to prepare for storm Maliksi response
The Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and the Office of the National Committee for Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue on May 31 sent an official dispatch to authorities from the northern province of Quang Ninh province to the central province of Ha Tinh, requesting them to monitor storm Maliksi and prepare response measures.
National flag flies on Truong Sa islands
Across the islands of the Truong Sa Archipelago and the DK1 oil rig, Vietnam’s national flag is not only proudly displayed atop flagpoles and sovereignty markers but also in residential areas and units and on boats and rafts on the islands, as well as on the boats of fishermen venturing to sea day and night.
