HCM CITY – VIEENT, a company that specialises in music distribution and copyright protection, has announced its official designation as Spotify's sole Vietnamese partner in the artist distributor category.

For the Swedish digital music, podcast and video platform, VIEENT is the 13th global partner in this category.

VIEENT has been a Spotify partner since 2020.

Nguyễn Hồ Hải Long, CEO of VIEENT, said besides delivering high-quality products to the platform and supporting artists, they had to meet rigorous technological requirements to earn Spotify's certification.

The standards for the artist distributor category, which is publisher for artists, encompass 34 different items organised into three main categories: technology infrastructure, music quality, and artist support capabilities.

These standards ensure that partners not only meet artists' needs but also adhere to global regulations on user rights protection and content quality.

In obtaining preferred partner status with Spotify, VIEENT has laid a foundation for Vietnamese artists to advance their careers.

Through VIEENT, they gain immediate access to Spotify for Artists, receiving a "verified blue tick" account upon registration.

Artists collaborating with preferred partners gain access to editing tools for easy updates to bios, profile photos and related information.

In case issues arise during collaboration, artists can seek direct contact between the company and the platform for swift resolution.

They also have full access to data dashboards, offering insights into audience preferences and facilitating the development of a strong fan community.

Long said: “Spotify has 626 million monthly listeners in 184 countries, and so being one of 13 priority partners globally listed in Spotify’s highest category – Artist Distributor – is not only an achievement for VIEENT but also a milestone.

“This will also serve as a landmark for Spotify and other global platforms to recognise that the Vietnamese music market is on the right track.”

Established in 2015, VIEENT has emerged as a key distributor for various renowned music products, collaborating with a string of artists across different generations, such as People's Artist Bạch Tuyết, Bằng Kiều, Tiên Tiên, and more.

It is a member of Merlin, a global organisation representing independent record labels. – VNS
