The Vietnamese Embassy in China continues to coordinate closely with local authorities to monitor the situation and is prepared to provide support and protection if any Vietnamese citizens are affected, according to the diplomat.
Fourteen among 410 Vietnamese citizens returning from Cambodia through the Mộc Bài international border gate are suspected of involvement in online fraud, the authorities said.
Those who did not return were among 80 Vietnamese holidaymakers from Nha Trang city, Việt Nam’s south-central province of Khánh Hòa, who boarded the November 14 flight to the RoK for their Jeju visit.
Citizens are also recommended to follow information from local authorities and warnings from the Consular Department under the MoFA or the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh.
