The Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City and the administration of Da Nang City jointly hosted a trade exhibition on September 26 displaying Vietnamese and Thai products, as part of the "Meet Thailand in Da Nang" conference.

As many as 24 Vietnamese and Thai food producers introduced various key export products of the two countries in 32 booths held at APEC Sculpture Park in Da Nang.

The event is expected to promote typical products of the two countries and strengthen trade exchanges among businesses.

Thai Consul General Wiraka Moodhitaporn confirmed that the exhibition provides a good opportunity for localities and enterprises of both countries to enhance the friendship and cooperation.

Thailand is currently Vietnam’s largest trading partner in ASEAN with a two-way trade turnover hitting approximately US$20 billion last year. It is the ninth largest foreign investor in the Vietnamese market and the second largest in ASEAN behind Singapore, pouring US$14 billion into projects in Vietnam.

The plenary session of the "Meet Thailand in Da Nang" conference took place in the central city on September 27, gathering over 300 officials, businesses, and organisations from both countries.

The conference seeks solutions to promote bilateral cooperation in fields such as trade and investment, supply chains, and sustainable tourism.
