The national team have been drawn in Pool A alongside the likes of Serbia, Canada, Indonesia, Argentina, and Puerto Rico.
Serbia, the FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship’s runner-up in 2021, will be a huge challenge for the Vietnamese players.
The tournament consists of a total of 24 teams divided into four groups. The best four teams will therefore progress to compete in the final round.
For the first time in history, the Vietnamese women’s national volleyball team have qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship after securing fifth place at the 2024 Asian Women’s 20 Volleyball Championship by defeating Chinese Taipei on July 8 in China.
This marks the best result ever for the country at an event held by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Dang Thi Hong, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Pham Quynh Huong, and Nguyen Van Ha are among the key players of the Vietnamese team at the Asian tournament and will continue to play at the 2025 world championship.
