President Luong Cuong offers incense to commemorate Hung Kings

President Luong Cuong offered incense on April 7 at the Hung Temple historical relic site in Phu Tho province in commemoration of the Hung Kings.
The incense offering ceremony is held solemnly and respectfully amid the presence of President Luong Cuong; Do Van Chien, secretary of the Party Central Committee; Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang alongside leaders of central ministries, sectors, and Phu Tho province.
Delegates gather at the historical relic site from 6:00 a.m. A palanquin procession heading to the Hung Kings Temple is followed by a delegation of Party and State leaders, representatives from central ministries and sectors, crowds of people from all walks of life, and overseas Vietnamese.
At 6:30 a.m, the procession departs from the centre yard of the site, heading towards the upper temple.
The organizers have arranged a team of officials, soldiers from the Provincial Military Command, young volunteers, and staff from the Hung Kings Historical Relic Site to work closely together, guide the delegates, and ensure the solemnity and smoothness of the ceremony throughout its duration.
The offerings this year were carefully prepared, including square cakes, round cakes, roast pig, sticky rice, a five-fruit tray representing the three regions, gold coins, betel leaves, areca nuts, wine, and water.
In addition, flower baskets and wreaths honouring the merits of the Hung Kings and President Ho Chi Minh are also carefully prepared.
It is expected that on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month (April 7, 2025), the number of visitors to the Hung Temple will continue to rise sharply, reflecting the nation's deep respect and gratitude towards their ancestors.
Two flag bearers carry the national flag and the flag of the festival, followed by flag bearers carrying a wreath with the inscription "Eternal gratitude to the Hung Kings for their contributions in founding the country."
Thorough preparations have been made to manage traffic flow and ensure both security and order at the festival.
At the Upper Temple, the officiant recite a prayer to honor the Hung Kings, reaffirming the heroic traditions of the Vietnamese people, while expressing deep gratitude to the ancestors and a firm resolve to continue the mission of building and protecting the country.
