The retail prices of petrol were revised up to more than VND21,000 per litre from 3 p.m. on January 9 by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The latest price review saw E5 RON 92 rise by VND380 per litre to a maximum of VND20,430 per litre, while the price of RON95-III edged up by VND270 per litre to VND21,010 per litre.

Similarly, the price of oil was adjusted upwards in this round, with diesel going up by VND490 to VND19,240 per litre, and kerosene by VND410 to VND19,240 per litre.

Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S was sold at VND16,180, up VND90 per kilogramme compared to the previous price adjustment a week ago.

The ministries decided not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund for this price adjustment.

Since the beginning of this year, petrol prices have been revised up twice.
