Petrol down, oil up in latest price adjustment
The retail price of petrol was revised down while prices of kerosene and mazut rose as of 3 p.m. on May 30 following a decision made by the ministries of Finance, and Industry and Trade.
According to the latest changes, the retail price of RON95-III was reduced by VND700 per litre to a maximum level of VND22,510 per litre, while the ceiling price of E5 RON92 was cut by VND520 per litre to VND21,750 per litre.
Meanwhile, oil prices were also adjusted up, with mazut oil being sold at the highest of VND17,530 per kilogramme and kerosene priced at VND19,930 per litre, rising by VND20 per kilogramme and VND30 per litre, respectively.
Diesel oil price fell by VND720 to no more than VND19,740 per litre.
In this price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund.
Since the outset of the year, petrol prices have undergone 22 adjustments, with 9 times up, 6 down, and seven unchanged.
