There will be a total of nine Vietnamese athletes attending the competition.
This year, the World Teqball Championship is set tofeature a total of 301 matches across five categories, including men's and women's singles, as well as doubles and mixed doubles.
Matches will take place at the arena set up on Nguyen Hue Walking street in District 1.
This is the first time that the tournament has been held in the southern metropolis and will offer the city the chance to showcase its ability to host international sports competition, said Nguyen Nam Nhan, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, at a press briefing on December 3.
He noted that the tournament offers a primeopportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to introduce the image, people, and culture of the city to international friends, and to bring Teqball closer to local residents.
