HÀ NỘI The newly crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2024, Sandra Lim, impressed the audience in a stunning Vietnamese gown at the pageant's finale.

Lim was among the most promising contestants at the start of the beauty contest. Overcoming many strong competitors, Lim ultimately won the Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 title, as predicted by many fans.

The 23-year-old appeared in a Sea of Dreams evening gown by a Vietnamese design house - MINHTUAN Couture – at the moment she was crowned.

The mermaid silhouette accentuated Miss Universe Malaysia’s alluring curves, while the striking shoulder design made the outfit not just a garment but a symbol of power and elegance.

Meticulously adorned with high-quality stones and crystals, the gown featured delicate cut-outs and flowing patterns on a light-reflecting fabric, making Lim dazzle with every step.

Notably, the gown's train included feather embellishments that added a sense of lightness, enhancing her regal and glamorous appearance.

Lim shared on Instagram that this outfit represents powerful dreams that inspire powerful actions.

She wrote: “Keep fighting for your dreams and have faith in your abilities to create change.” Currently working as a model, actress and wushu athlete, Lim is fluent in several languages, including Malay, Chinese and English. In 2022, she graduated with honours with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from City University Malaysia.

Lim has also found success in acting, having participated in several television and film productions like Heir to the Throne 2. Next up, she will co-star in Money Games.

The new Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 previously modeled a dress called Dreams Come True by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Minh Tuấn on January 5 as the First Runner-Up in the Miss Global 2022 pageant.

Sandra Lim is the fourth contestant from Miss Universe 2024 to be crowned in her home country while wearing an outfit by the Vietnamese designer. Previously, Miss Universe Argentina 2024, Miss Universe Canada 2024 and Miss Gibraltar 2024 also shone in Tuấn’s designs. VNS
