Accordingly, this marks the largest Chinese tourist group to visit the country since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, it is also the first charter train to participate in the co-operation programme between Lao Cai provincial Department of Tourism and Vietnam Railways.
From Lao Cai to Ha Noi Station, the tourists began their 13-day journey by train to visit a number of tourist spots around the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, the central city of Da Nang, the coastal city of Nha Trang in the central province of Khanh Hoa, Phan Thiet city in the southern province of Binh Thuan, and Ho Chi Minh City, before finally returning to China.
So far, the railway industry has co-ordinated efforts with travel companies to organise 16 charter trains, bringing with a total of 7,000 passengers to Vietnam.
