Among the designated locations are the area at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City); the Ben Duoc Martyrs’ Memorial (Cu Chi District); the Nga Ba Giong Martyrs’ Memorial (Hoc Mon District); the Lang Le – Bau Co Historical Site (Binh Chanh District).
The fireworks display will also take place at the Can Gio District Football Stadium; the Historical and Cultural Park (Thu Duc City); and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).
In addition to these seven planned locations, the city is encouraging districts and local businesses to engage in socialized fireworks displays in their respective areas, according to Vo Ho Hoang Vu, Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.
During the April 30 celebrations, HCM City also plans to host various exhibitions, cultural and artistic programmes, public awareness campaigns, and sports events.
The activities aim to provide residents and visitors with meaningful experiences that honour the nation’s heroic revolutionary history alongside incorporating modern entertainment elements, Vu stated.
