The city ranked second on the list of the Top 25 World's Best Cultural Destinations and was placed at seventh position on the list of the Top 25 world’s best destinations.
Most notably, Hanoi also was named on the special list of Travelers’ All-Time Favorite Spots on the occasion of Tripadvisor's 25th Anniversary.
According to the travel platform, the charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving its famous Old Quarter, as well as its various monuments and colonial architecture. In addition, it has also made room for modern developments alongside.
TripAdvisor also recommended key attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and Hoa Lo Prison.
Hanoi welcomed a total of 6.35 million foreign tourists last year, marking a 34% annual increase, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.
