As of 3:30 p.m., Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, one of the major gem stone companies in Vietnam, raised the price of gold rings by VND1.4 million, bringing the buying price to VND94.95 million/tael and the selling price to VND96.5 million/tael.
Meanwhile, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) quoted gold ring price at VND94.5 million per tael for buying and VND96.2 million per tael for selling.
The price of gold rings is currently higher than that of gold bars by VND600,000 - 700,000/tael.
Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company adjusted its gold bar prices, trading at VND94.3 million per tael for buying and VND95.8 million per tael for selling, up VND1.4 million from the previous session.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed gold bars at VND94.4 million per tael for buying and VND95.8 million per tael for selling, marking an increase of VND250,000–300,000 compared to the morning session.
This latest rise is largely fueled by increases in global gold prices. The price of gold in the world’s market is being traded at US$2,988 per ounce, up US$50 per ounce from the previous session, recording the highest in history.
