QUẢNG NAM — A fire broke out at the car park of the Central Electric Power College in Hội An City, Quảng Nam Province, on Wednesday, destroying 40 electric tourist cars.

The fire was first noticed by security guards at around 5.50am. They immediately alerted the fire department.

Firefighters from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Bắc Quảng Nam rushed to the scene. After 30 minutes, the blaze was brought under control.

The parking lot was leased by a private company to park electric tourist cars. At the time of the fire, some school employees managed to push 12 cars out of the car park, but six of them were damaged. The remaining 40 were completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. — VNS
