As of 2 p.m., Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed gold rings at VND92.55 million per tael for buying and VND94.1 million per tael for selling, marking an increase of VND250,000–300,000 compared to the morning session.
Meanwhile, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) quoted gold ring prices at VND92.3 million per tael for buying and VND93.9 million per tael for selling.
Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company also adjusted its gold ring prices, trading at VND91.8 million per tael for buying and VND93.4 million per tael for selling, up VND800,000 and VND500,000, respectively, from the previous session.
The price of SJC gold bars at Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company also edged up by approximately VND200,000, reaching VND91.8 million per tael for buying and VND93.5 million per tael for selling.
This represents the first time in history that the price of gold rings has been around VND600,000 per tael higher than the price of SJC gold bars.
This latest rise is largely fueled by increases in global gold prices. The price of gold in the world’s market is being traded at US$2,911.2 per ounce.
