The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will send a delegation to Binh Duong province to directly check the stadium's quality from February 19 to February 21, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The Vietnamese men’s football team will not play at northern stadiums such as My Dinh or Viet Tri as in the past. Instead, Go Dau stadium, with a capacity of nearly 20,000 seats and having undergone continuous upgrades in recent times, will host football matches of the senior team.
Vietnam have been placed in Group F and they will play three home matches against Laos on March 25, Nepal on October 9, and Malaysia on March 31, 2026.
Teams will compete in a two-leg round-robin format from March this year to March, 2026.
Group winners in the third round of qualifiers will secure a spot in the final round of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
