From August 18, the Vietnam women's national football team will gather for a training session under the leadership of head coach Mai Duc Chung.
The training session will see the return of Nguyen Thi Van after undergoing a period of treatment and recovery from injury.
Several young players from the U20 age group will be called up during the training, including Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh of Ho Chi Minh City, Luu Nhu Quynh of Thai Nguyen, and Ta Thi Thuy of Ha Nam.
Striker Huynh Nhu will also participate in the training camp after completing two-year period playing in Portugal for Lank Club.
The training session will be divided into two phases, with the first stage starting from August 18 to September 1 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi.
From September 1, the team will then head to the Czech Republic for a training session until September 15.
This is considered the first step in the Vietnamese women's football’s ambition to earn a ticket to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup finals.
