BERLIN – A Vietnamese popular cultural festival named “Living in Berlin” will be held for the first time at Vietnamese-owned Đồng Xuân Centre from July 25-28 by authorities of Berlin city and Lichtenberg district.

During the festival, visitors will have an opportunity to experience Vietnamese popular culture through music, comedy, cinema, performing arts and cuisine, with the participation of the young generation of Vietnamese artists growing up in Berlin.

Martin Schaefer, Mayor of Lichtenberg district, said the event will be a symbol of the close decades-long friendship and bond between Việt Nam and Germany.

In addition to live music, art, comedy and dance performances, the festival will also feature the "Tracks & Talk" talk show with the participation of NASHI44, an artist, singer, rapper, and composer of the Vietnamese origin.

A Vietnamese film programme is scheduled to be held within the framework of the festival, with award-winning short films and special preview screenings of ARD television's new series titled "Made in Germany" by Vietnamese-origin director Ngô Ngọc Đức. - VNA/VNS
