After enjoying an impressive 5-0 victory over Myanmar on December 21 and retaining their top spot in Group B, Vietnam earned a ticket to enter the semi-finals of ASEAN Cup, where they will take on Singapore.
Accordingly, the national team will play the away match at the Jalan Besar Stadium on December 26. The stadium has a seating capacity of about 6,000 and uses artificial turf, which will be a big challenge for Vietnamese team.
Meanwhile, the home game will be launched at Viet Tri Stadium in the northern province of Phu Tho on December 29. Tickets for the match priced at VND600,000, VND500,000, and VND300,000 were sold out just 15 minutes after online sales opened on December 22.
In another Group B match, the Philippines defeated Indonesia 1-0 and will take on Group A winners Thailand in the semi-finals.
The AFF Cup was renamed the ASEAN Cup, starting in 2024, with the event running from December 8 to January 5, 2025.
Ten teams are divided into two groups, each playing two home and two away matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. From the semi-finals onward, matches are played over two legs, home and away, but the away goals rule is not applied.
