Vietnamese contestant anticipated to make Top 10 of Miss Supranational 2024
Local representative Lydie Vu is poised to crack the Top 10 of the 15th edition of Miss Supranational, according to prestigious beauty website VIEPAGEANT.
In the second hot pick put together by VIEPAGEANT, the Vietnamese beauty was placed in 10th position behind the Southeast Asian representatives from Thailand and the Philippines.
Elsewhere, the contestant from the Czech Republic took the lead, followed by those from Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, and India.
At present as many as 72 countries have confirmed that they will send contestants to this year’s pageant, with the event scheduled to take place in Poland from June 17 to July 6. Lydie Vu, 31, stands at 1.76 metres tall with body measurement of 83-62-93 cm.
She is notable for having clinched a Top 6 finish at Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 and has been chosen to represent Vietnam at the Miss Supranational pageant this year.
The French Vietnamese beauty is expected to have a positive impression on the international contest.
Miss Supranational was first held back in 2009. So far it has developed into one of the most prestigious beauty contest in the world, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth.
Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen of Can Tho city achieved the best results of any Vietnamese ever at Miss Supranational by claiming the second runner-up title in the 2022 version of the world pageant.
Most recently, Dang Thanh Ngan of Soc Trang province won the fourth runner-up title at Miss Supranational 2023.
