Vietnamese chefs shine at world-class cuisine competition

The Vietnamese team have emerged victorious at the Bocuse d’Or Asia-Pacific competition, making it into the leading five most successfully teams.

The Vietnamese team made up of chef Vu Xuan Truong, commis Nguyen Quang Tam, and coach Daniel Nguyen, all impressed judges with creative dishes imbued with traditional Vietnamese flavors and techniques.

At the press conference held to honour the local team at the Residence of France in Ho Chi Minh City on October 25, the organising board said that the incredible achievement has therefore secured their spot at the prestigious Bocuse d’Or World Final, which is scheduled to take place in Lyon in France from January 25 to January 27, 2025.

Bocuse d’Or, named after famous French chef Paul Bocuse, is not only an arena for the world’s top chefs, but is also an innovative stage for the fusion of global culinary cultures.

Every two years the Grand Finale is held in Lyon in France.
