Vietnamese representative Pham Thi Anh Vuong has finished among the Top 10 of the Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 beauty pageant, which concluded in the Philippines on October 7.

The beauty hailing from Binh Thuan province also won the Best In National Costume sub-title.

The 22-year-old girl stands at 1.74 metres tall with body measurements of 86-60-94 cm. She is currently a student at Sai Gon University whilst working as a model, and a media ambassador at several universities.

Anh Vuong has acquired plenty of experience competing in pageants, finishing among the Top 30 of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022, among the Top 15 of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, and among the Top 5 of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024.

During the grand finale of the Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 on October 7, Janelis Leyba from the United States was crowned as Miss Asia Pacific International 2024.

The first, second, third, and fourth runner-up titles went to Karen Sofia Nunez of Mexico, Selena Ali of Belgium, Blessa Ericha Figueroa of the Philippines, and Jennifer Prokop of Germany, respectively.

The Miss Asia Pacific International pageant was first held in 1968 under the name of Miss Asia Quest. It wasn’t until 1985 that the pageant changed its name to Miss Asia Pacific Quest in order to include beauties from Asia, the Pacific, and America.

In 2005, the event was rebranded once again, becoming Miss Asia Pacific International and opening up to contestants from across the globe.

Vietnamese contestants have achieved several notable landmarks in recent editions of the pageant. The 2018 edition witnessed Huynh Thuy Vi win the first runner-up place in the national costume segment. Truong Tung Lan finished among the Top 15 of the 2011 pageant, whilst Hoang Thu Thao was named among the Top 6 of the 2016 contest.
