Vietnam to host Miss Grand International 2027
Vietnam will play host to the Miss Grand International 2027 pageant, announced the organisation board of the Miss Grand Vietnam beauty contest at a press conference on June 3.
This comes after the Facebook page of Miss Grand International (MGI) posted on June 2, “Get ready for Miss Grand International 2027 in #Vietnam! Witness the glamour, culture, and beauty as the world’s most stunning contestants take the stage. Don’t miss the spectacular event of the year!”
The MGI also uploaded a video recording images of MGI 2023 in Vietnam that features beautiful scenes of three regions across the country, leaving a positive impression on international beauty fans.
Many Vietnamese fans posted comments, expressing their pride and welcoming contestants from all over the world to the country.
Among the nations to host the MGI the most, Vietnam placed in second position following Thailand. Indeed, the pageant was held in Vietnam in 2017 and 2023.
Also at the press conference, the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 pageant was launched. Notably, this year’s contest will include the Grand Voice Award to seek talents in singing, Best Seller to develop the business capacity of each contestant, and National Costume to honour Vietnamese culture.
Ha Kieu Anh, Miss Vietnam 1992 and People’s Artist Vuong Duy Bien will continue to work as head and deputy head of the judging panel, respectively.
Miss Grand International, founded in 2013, is one of the world's largest beauty contests to focus on humanitarian issues and to promote peace.
Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was crowned Miss Grand International 2021, becoming the first Vietnamese contestant to reign as titleholder.
Architect Le Hoang Phuong won the fourth runner-up title at MGI 2023 which was held in Vietnam.
