According, Huy (Elo 2,425) was defeated by Idani Pouya of Iran (Elo 2,599), thereby ending the Vietnamese team’s unbeaten streak.
Meanwhile, Grandmaster Le Quang Liem (Elo 2,741) was held to a draw with Maghsoodloo Parham (Elo 2,723) after 42 moves. Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son (Elo 2,633) and Le Tuan Minh (Elo2,564) also drew with Tabatabaei Amin (Elo 2,714) after 30 moves and Daneshvar Bardiya (Elo 2,598) after 83 moves, respectively.
With five wins, one draw, and one loss, the Vietnamese men's team dropped to ninth place in the overall table with 11 points.
