The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has issued a decision on the final review results of imposing anti-dumping measures on some aluminum products originating from China.

Accordingly, the anti-dumping measures are to be extended for an additional five years, with the anti-dumping duty rate ranging from 2.85% to 35.58%.

The MoIT said it will coordinate alongside relevant agencies to supervise the enactment of the decision to ensure a fair and favourable competitive environment for manufacturing industries in accordance with legal regulations.

The ministry initiated an investigation into the anti-dumping case in January 2019, following reports that the import of the products from China had done harm to the domestic aluminum industry.
The major cause was found to be the dumping of aluminum products originating from China at margins of 2.49% to 35.58%

Following the first review, the ministry decided to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on certain aluminum products originating from China with tax rates ranging from 4.39% to 35.58%.

The final review investigation from October was made last year in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Trade Remedies of Vietnam.
