These statistics represent an increase of 173.3% in volume compared to the same period from last year.
As of November 15, the country had imported 153,011 CBU cars with a total value of US$3.15 billion, marking a rise of 13.81% in volume and 23.34% in value on-year.
Throughout the reviewed period, Indonesia represented the biggest supplier of cars to the Vietnamese market with 57,693 units valued at US$843.74 million.
Thailand ranked second in terms of volume, but took the lead for value. The neighbouring country exported 54,481 units worth US$1.06 billion to the Vietnamese market.
Elsewhere, China exported 24,613 units worth US$732.75 million to the country, ranking third in terms of both quantity and value.
