Vietnam finish first at 2024 SEA Rowing and Canoeing U19 and U23 Champs

Vietnam topped the medal tally at the 2024 Southeast Asia (SEA) Rowing and Canoeing, U19 and U23 Championships which concluded in the northern port city of Hai Phong on July 7.

Vietnamese athletes grabbed 58 gold medals, leaving Thailand and Singapore behind in second and third places with 13 gold medals and nine gold medals respectively.

Indonesia clinched four gold medals while Malaysia secured three gold medals, finishing fourth and fifth respectively.

Cambodia stood at the bottom of the medal tally, pocketing 3 bronze medals.

The Southeast Asia (SEA) Rowing and Canoeing, U19 and U23 Championships is a reputable tournament in Southeast Asia.

This year’s event lasting from June 24 to July 7 brought together more than 500 officials and athletes of rowing and canoeing from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The 2024 edition provided an excellent opportunity for athletes to hone in skills ahead of international competitions, including the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand next year.
