The fair themed “Connection - Cooperation – Development” is part of the National Trade Promotion Program for 2024 and serves as a key opportunity to enhance economic, investment, trade, and tourism cooperation between Lang Son of Vietnam and Guangxi of China.
It features products across industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, food processing, household goods, electronics, and others with strong export potential.
The fair aims to foster connections between Vietnamese and Chinese businesses, boost trade activities, and promote the distribution and import-export of goods between the two countries, said Duong Xuan Huyen, vice chairman of the Lang Son administration.
The event will also introduce the potential and various strengths of investment, trade, tourism, and cultural identity of the province, as well as the potential that exists for further cooperation between localities across Vietnam and China’s Guangxi province, he added.
Also at the opening ceremony, several tourism and trade co-operation agreements were also signed between the two sides, while the announcement of "Foodtour Lang Son" tourism products was also made.
Various activities will be arranged to take place during the five-day fair, including international forums and conferences on investment, trade, imports, exports, and tourism promotion.
