According to the Hai Phong municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the 30-second video consists of impressive images featuring a range of outstanding global values from the Cat Ba Archipelago.
It will be broadcast on CNN Asia network on various different programmes, including The Lead, First Move, and CNN News room three times each day, starting from November 5 and lasting through to December 2.
Local authorities also plan to advertise the Cat Ba Archipelago on Vietnam Television, Vietnam Airlines, and via social media ahead in 2025.
They will work with CNN to continue promoting the Vietnamese archipelago on its network every evening each week next year.
The administration of Hai Phong will carry out international communication activities through cultural events, including the participation in cultural heritage exhibitions in Japan, the Republic of Korea, the US, and European countries.
Furthermore, they will conduct an advertisement campaign showcasing the Cat Ba Archipelago on a number of other international television channels such as Discovery and TLC (Travel & Leisure Chanel).
Cat Ba is an archipelago of 367 islands made up of various sizes. The main island, Cat Ba, is about 100sq.m in area and is roughly 30km from Hai Phong. It is linked to UNESCO-recognised World Heritage Ha Long Bay of Quang Ninh province by a fascinating complex of islands and caves.
