University team win silver at international DanceSport competition

The DanceSport team of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) successfully claimed a silver medal at the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) World Challenge Cup Rising Stars Latin and Standard, which was wrapped up at the Military Zone 7 Gymnasium on July 14.

Most notably, the individual category saw Pham Ngoc Thuy, a second-year student of the UEF’s Faculty of International relations, win a bronze medal in the F1 Adult Latin KTA - King The Art and a silver medal in the F2 Adult Latin KTA - King The Art.

The event, which was held in Vietnam for the first time, attracted the participation of more than 1,500 domestic and foreign dancers from 26 countries and territories globally.

The championship offered an opportunity for participants to compete and achieve a source of pride for the country's DanceSport community.

The event was organised by the World DanceSport Federation and enthusiastically supported by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation.
