The announcement of Trung and Duyen as the nation’s representative was made at a ceremony held on January 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Harashta Haifa Zahra, Miss Supranational 2024, presented a sash to the Vietnamese contestants at the event, giving them plenty of encouragement ahead of the start of the global pageant.
Vo Cao Ky Duyen, 21, hails from Hai Phong and stands at 1,75 metres tall with body measurement of 84-60-97cm.
She surpassed 39 rivals to ultimately be crowned 2024 Miss Global Vietnam Tourism and will go on to represent the nation at Miss Supranational 2025.
Miss Supranational was first held back in 2009. Since its launch it has developed into one of the most prestigious beauty contest in the world, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth.
This year marks the 16th edition of the competition and will be held in Poland in mid-year. Ha Quang Trung stands at 1.84 metres tall and weighs 78kg. The model will compete at Mister Supranational 2025.
Mister Supranational was first held back in December, 2016, in Poland. This year marks the ninth edition of the male pageant.
