Ru Cha mangrove forest in Huong Phong Commune's Thuan Hoa Village, which is around 15 kilometres from the centre of Hue City.
It covers an area of approximately 5 hectares and is the last surviving mangrove forest in the Tam Giang lagoon system, the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia.
The forest is the most beautiful from September to October annually, when the leaves change colour to yellow and red. The pristine beauty attracts many visitors.
Tourists can hire a small canoe to paddle through the forest, exploring the pristine wilderness.
The ideal time to admire the Ru Cha mangrove forest is early in the morning or at dusk.
