Vietnamese representative Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy unveiled on the evening of November 11 the gown that she will wear at the Miss International 2024 pageant which is ongoing in Tokyo, Japan.

The outfit was designed by Le Thanh Hoa and draws inspiration from the image of cherry blossoms, a distinctive Japanese flower.

The dress is made of high-quality mikado material and decorated with sparkling sequins and pink crystals. According to the local beauty, it took the design team a total of 200 hours to complete the dress.

This comes after Thuy joined over 70 contestants in the beauty pageant’s semifinals. She took the stage by storm, impressing the judges and fans with her elegance in a sleek white gown and in the swimsuit segment.

Thuy is a 21-year-old student from Da Nang who was crowned as the winner of the Miss Vietnam 2022 competition.

First launched back in 1960, Miss International is one of the four largest international beauty pageants, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth.

In previous editions of the competition, Vietnamese representatives won high prizes, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who finished as the third runner-up in 2015, Tuong San who was among the Top 8 in 2019, and Nguyen Phuong Nhi who was a Top 15 finalist.

The grand finale of the Miss International 2024 pageant is scheduled to take place on November 12.
