Singer-rapper The Kid Laroi to perform first solo gig at Singapore Expo on November 1

SINGAPORE – Australian singer-rapper The Kid Laroi will be back in Singapore to perform his first solo concert at Singapore Expo Hall 7 on November 1.

The 21-year-old is best known for Stay (2021), a duet with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber which was the top song among Apple Music users in Singapore in 2022. It was also the year’s top song among Apple Music listeners globally.

Tickets for his show here will go on sale on August 28. Prices are not available yet.

In 2022, The Kid Laroi was the youngest artiste to headline The Padang, the biggest concert stage at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

The singer, whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, was also the youngest artiste to top the Australian charts with his 2020 mixtape F**k Love, which went to No1 on the Billboard charts.

At the 2021 Grammys, he was nominated for Best New Artist. He won five prizes at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, including Top Hot 100 Song and Top Streaming Song for Stay.

In November 2023, he released his first full-length album, The First Time, which included the single Too Much, a collaboration with K-pop singer and BTS member Jungkook and British rapper Central Cee. - The Straits Times/ANN
