The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to hike retail petrol and oil prices as of 3p.m. on September 26.

Accordingly, the price of RON95-III rose by VND756 to VND20,518 per litre, while that of E5 RON 92 biofuel was also revised up by VND679 to a maximum of VND19,620 per litre.

The prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene went up by VND463 to VND17,506 per litre and by VND322 to VND17,873 per litre, respectively.

Meanwhile, Mazut 180CST 3.5S was sold at no more than VND15,357 per kilogram, up by VND531.

In the latest price adjustment cycle, both ministries decided not to extract the petrol price stabilization fund.

This is the second consecutive time in the past two weeks both ministries have raised retail petrol prices in the domestic market due to the impact of heightened conflicts in the Middle East, China’s economic stimulus measures, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

These factors have caused fluctuations in global fuel prices in recent days, with some products experiencing increases and decreases, said the two ministries.
