The exhibition ran under the theme of “Pioneers of modern Vietnamese arts in France”. On display at the event were a total of 150 artworks by the three late renowned local artists, marking their artistic development from the early days at the Indochina School of Fine Arts to the final period of their career in France.
With his delicate and emotional style, artist Le Pho (1907-2001), introduced vivid pieces to audiences, reflecting the combination of tradition and modernity.
Meanwhile, artist Mai Thu (1906-1980) impressed audiences as his paintings featured his passionate love for his homeland and for Vietnamese people.
Painter Vu Cao Dam (1908-2000) successfully combined traditional painting techniques with modern artistic thinking in order create artworks that were both unique and meaningful.
