HCM CITY – The Đồng Hương Quảng Nam (Quảng Nam People) Festival being held in HCM City aims to connect the central province’s natives living away from home through cultural activities, and recognise their achievements.

The event taking place from July 18 to 21 at the Tân Bình District Cultural and Sports Center features folk and cultural performances, traditional games, a culinary area showcasing Quảng Nam specialities among other activities for the public.

Quảng Nam natives living in HCM City and other places in the south can renew their driver’s licences and update their ID cards at the event.

Known as Những Ngày Văn Hóa Đồng Hương Quảng Nam (Quảng Nam Cultural Days) Programme when it was organised for the first time last year -- at Đầm Sen Park -- and attracted over 100,000 visitors, the festival also includes an investment promotion conference and the 2nd Quảng Nam Creative Startup Day.

They will showcase Quảng Nam’s startup initiatives and products, facilitate networking and business development and introduce job opportunities.

Chairman of the Quảng Nam Fellowship Association, Lê Phúc, said the festival would become an annual event for Quảng Nam.
