QUẢNG BÌNH — Fifteen wild animals were returned to their natural habitat on Wednesday by the Centre for Rescue, Conservation, and Development of Living Creatures, part of the Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park Management Board.

The released animals included eight golden monkeys, two box turtles, an Indian falcon, a python, a jungle fowl, a porcupine, and a rat snake.

These species are listed among endangered, precious, and rare animals.

The animals had been voluntarily handed over to the centre by organisations and individuals for care, rehabilitation, and eventual release back into the wild.

Following a sufficient quarantine period, the specialised agency released the animals into the natural environment of Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, enhancing the effectiveness of biodiversity conservation efforts.

Since the start of the year, the centre has received and rescued 47 wild animals, with 17 being released back into the wild.

Currently, the centre is taking care of 73 wild animals. — VNS
