World-renowned string quartet Bond will hold a charity concert on October 5 in Hanoi as part of the Good Morning Vietnam series, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to assist flood victims affected by typhoon Yagi.

At a press conference held on September 11 in Hanoi, Le Quoc Minh, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and member of the organisers, said that the concert "Bond Live In Vietnam" marked the second event of the Good Morning Vietnam series arranged by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with IB Group, with the ultimate aim of promoting Vietnamese tourism.

After the success of the concert "Kenny G Live In Vietnam" back in 2023, this year the organisers have invited the Bond quartet back to the country following their previous performances in 2015 and 2016.

Last year saw all of the proceeds from ticket sales of Kenny G's show go to help build hundreds of houses whilst assisting hundreds of poor people. The upcoming concert "Bond Live In Vietnam" is therefore expected to provide aid to people in the northern region affected by typhoon Yagi, Minh noted.

Bond is an Australian/British string quartet which specialises in classical crossover and synth-pop music. The quartet has sold a total of five million albums.

The quartet were originally founded in 2000 and now consists of four members, including Tania Davis on the violin, Eos Counsell on the violin, Elspeth Hanson on the viola, and Gay-Yee Westerhoff on the cello.

“Bond Live in Vietnam” concert is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. on October 5 at the My Dinh National Convention Center, with the event expected to put on an impressive performance for music lovers on stage in the capital.
