Discovering Hanoi’s craft villages in World Crafts Cities Network

An exhibition showcasing Bat Trang ceramic village and Van Phuc silk village, two traditional craft villages of the capital recently recognized as members of the World Crafts Cities Network, is underway at Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi.
The exhibition takes place on the occasion of a ceremony to honour the recognition of Hanoi’s two traditional craft villages, Bat Trang ceramic village in Gia Lam district and Van Phuc silk village in Ha Dong district, as official members of the World Crafts Cities Network.
This recognition has made them the first traditional craft villages in Vietnam to be approved for membership in this prestigious network.
The event features a range of ceramic works created by artisans in Bat Trang ceramic village.

Van Phuc silk village, which is one of the most famous craft villages nationwide, is also introduced to visitors.
Guests are interested in exploring Van Phuc, the oldest national silk village which boasts a thousand-year-old history.
