Tourists flock to UNESCO heritage city Hoi An during Lunar New Year holiday

A large number of visitors flocked to the ancient city of Hoi An in central Quang Nam province during the Lunar New Year holiday, known locally as Tet, marking a promising start to the new year for the locality’s tourism industry.
With a series of unique cultural and tourist events on offer for visitors to enjoy, Hoi An continues to be a familiar destination, attracting many local and foreign tourists.
The streets of Hoi An are adorned with red lanterns, a major symbol of the heritage locality, during the Tet celebration.
The streets are bustling with numerous activities, forcing tourists to move slowly to navigate through the crowds.
Both sides of the Hoai River are constantly crowded, whilst those offering boat tours are extremely busy during the festive period.
Tourists gather at the historic site of Chua Cau (Japanese Covered Bridge), a major tourist attraction in Hoi An.
The lantern district becomes an unmissable "photo-op" spot for tourists visiting Hoi An Ancient Town.
