Workers at a factory in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province, are busy molding snake mascots to meet market demand ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake.
Several establishments produce large-sized snake figurines with the purpose of displaying or selling them.
Artisans meticulously create snake-shaped figurines in order to meet the increase in orders as Tet approaches.
In order to have a perfect product, every stage of making figurines must be done carefully.
One stage in the process of making the snake mascots uses a machine.
The overall cost depends on the size and sophistication of each object.
A collection of snake figurines in unique designs has been introduced to welcome the Year of the Snake.
Artisans spend a total of 15 days on making the snake mascot which costs up to VND300 million.
