Foreign ambassadors hit the catwalk at special Ao Dai show in Hanoi Culture - Ngày đăng : 18:35, 13/12/2024
Many foreign ambassadors gathered together to take part in an Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) fashion show recently held in Hanoi, featuring pieces of work created by famous painters worldwide.
Fashion designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam (third from right) presents his latest Ao Dai collection which draws inspiration from pieces of work created by famous painters around the world. Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Baloghdi Tibor (R) performs with a model donning an Ao Dai featuring the “Lonely Cedar” painting by Csontvary Kostka Tivadar. French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet (L) attends the event. The model wears an Ao Dai depicting Gardanne town by French painter Paul Cézanne. Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Polanco Fuentes (R) joins in the show. The model dresses in an Ao Dai inspired from "The Jungle" painting by Wifredo Lam. Present the event is Lynne Gadkowski, an economic counselor of the United States Embassy to Vietnam (L). The model dons an Ao Dai which takes inspiration from artworks by US painter Jackson Pollock. The fashion show attracts plenty of diplomats, including Pakistani Ambassador to Vietnam Kohdayar Marri (R). The model wears an Ao Dai featuring an artwork by Pakistani painter Salman Toor.
