The organisers of the “Happy Vietnam 2024” contest selected 60 outstanding videos and the 150 most beautiful photos for the exhibition, with the 34 top entries receiving awards at a ceremony held on December 11 at the Hanoi Opera House.

Photographer Vu Dieu Hoa wins a gold medal in the photo category. A photo by Vu Dieu Hoa, which bags a gold medal, is exhibited at the event. A photo featuring Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte cycling around Hanoi snapped by photographer Duong Van Giang obtains a silver medal in the photo category. A piece depicting the friendship of H’Mong ethnic boys taken by Ambassador of the Philippines to Vietnam Meynardo LB. Montealegre wins the most favourite photo title. Open to participants from all over the world, this year’s competition attracts an impressive 10,327 entries from 6,863 contributors. Among them are 581 international artists and 265 overseas Vietnamese who submitted entries. Photographed is a work by Dinh Bao Chau which won a bronze medal in the competition. The judges select a total of 210 standout works, including 60 videos and 150 photos, to be featured in the exhibition. Of these, 34 works receive prestigious awards, including gold, silver, and bronze medals and consolation prizes. Photographed is a work by Le Hoang Men which takes the consolation prize.
