The event is Southeast Asia’s leading international exhibition of machinery, technology, and materials for Ceramics Manufacturing.
On display at the function were a range of cutting-edge equipment, machinery, and advanced technological solutions aimed at improving productivity towards saving mineral resources, energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions whilst developing sustainably.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh emphasised that the event is a practical activity held in support of the implementation of the State's policies and guidelines, thereby further boosting trade promotion, technology transfer, and investment co-operation.
Deputy Minister Sinh revealed that over the past 20 years, the Vietnamese construction ceramics industry has developed strongly in terms of scale, technology, types, designs, and product quality, making an important contribution to the country's GDP growth.
In addition to meeting domestic market demand, Vietnamese construction ceramics products have been exported to many countries around the world such as ASEAN Northeast Asia, the United States, and Europe.
Vietnam currently represents one of the 10 largest construction ceramics producing countries throughout the world.
Meanwhile, Dinh Quang Huy, chairman of the Vietnam Construction Ceramics Association, pointed out that the ceramic industry continues to face numerous difficulties in terms of energy, raw materials, labour, and the environment.
Huy express his belief that the event will offer a prime opportunity for businesses to increase investment, share knowledge, and promote growth among the domestic and international ceramic and stone markets.
Most notably, the exhibition will also feature in-depth discussions specifically focusing on development trends and pressing issues facing the ceramics and stone industries.
The exhibition will run from now until December 13.
