With the upcoming Lunar New Year set to mark the start of the Year of the Snake, which is due to begin on January 29, 2025, the design of the collection aims to convey a message of good health, happiness, and luck for all people and their families.
Each stamp measures 37x37 mm in size and depicts a snake on bright green and purple backgrounds, showcasing the festive Tet atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the stamp block is 80x80 mm in size and portrays two snakes, as well as peach and apricot blossoms, with best wishes for the coming year, promoting reunions and prosperity for all families.
The two stamps designed by local artist Nguyen Quang Vinh cost between VND4,000 and VND15,000 each. In addition, the block is worth VND15,000.
The collection is set to be made available on the public postal network nationwide from December 1 to June 30, 2026.
The annual Tet festival is both the largest and most important traditional festival of the Vietnamese people. This year, workers will be given nine days off work from January 25 to February 2 to enjoy Tet celebrations.
