A big haul of prizes for Vietnam at World Travel Awards 2024

According to the results, Vietnam was named as the World's Leading Heritage Destination (the fifth consecutive time since 2019), while the capital Hanoi was named as the World's Leading City Tourist Board, the Asia’s Leading City Destination, and Asia’s Leading City Break Destination.
The southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City also took the titles of the Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination and the Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination, while the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism won the Asia's Leading City Tourist Board.
In addition, Tam Dao, a small town in the northern mountainous province of Vinh Phuc, won the World's Leading Town Destination, Cuc Phuong National Park in the northern province of Ninh Binh grabbed the Asia's Leading National Park, and Moc Chau in the northwestern mountainous province of Son La claimed the Asia's Leading Regional Nature Destination.
The northern province of Ha Nam grabbed the Special Achievement Award, while its Tam Chuc Complex won the Asia's Leading Cultural Tourist Attraction.
In addition, Phu Quoc was honoured as the World's Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction. This marks the third time that the pearl island has been presented with the prestigious title.
Moreover, the World's Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction prize went to Sunset town, which is situated on the white sandy beaches of the southwest of Phu Quoc Island.
Meanwhile, Kiss Bridge in Phu Quoc was also named as the World's Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge.
The Hoi An Memories Land was named as the World's Leading Cultural Tourism & Entertainment Complex. This marks the third year in a row that the complex has received the honour of the World Travel Awards.
Most notably, the World's Leading Natural Landscape Tourist Attraction title went to Sun World Fansipan Legend in Sa Pa.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese hotels and resorts won also a big haul of prizes at the World Travel Awards 2024. Among them, Hoiana Resort & Golf claimed the World's Leading Fully Integrated Resort and the Asia's Leading Fully Integrated Resort.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was awarded the World's Leading Green Resort, the Asia's Leading Luxury Resort, and the Asia's Leading Green Resort, whilst its Bai Bac Bay Villa won the Asia's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa.
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa was presented with the World's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort, the Asia's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort, and the Asia's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort. Elsewhere, Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills was honoured as the World's Leading Themed Resort and the Asia's Leading Themed Resort.
La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc – MGallery pocketed the Asia's Leading Boutique Resort; InterContinental Saigon won the Asia's Leading Conference Hotel; and Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa also brought home the Asia's Leading Entertainment Resort.
Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Oakwood Ha Long, and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay won the Asia's Leading Family Beach Resort, the Asia's Leading Family Villa Resort, the Asia's Most Romantic Resort, and the Asia's Leading Honeymoon Resort.
Hôtel des Arts Saigon, MGallery Collection, Banyan Tree Lang Co, and Capella Hanoi, Vietnam won the Asia's Leading Lifestyle Hotel, the Asia's Leading Luxury Beach Resort, and the Asia's Leading Luxury Boutique Hotel, respectively.
The Asia's Leading Luxury Family Resort title went to InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort; the Asia's Leading New Resort to Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa on Hon Tre Island; and the Asia's Leading Retreat to Naman Retreat.
Vietnamese airlines also earned several prizes, including the national carrier Vietnam Airlines with the World's Leading Cultural Airline, low-cost airline Vietjet Air with the Asia's Leading Airline - Customer Experience, and the Asia's Leading Airline Rewards Programme.
In addition, Van Don International Airport was honoured with the Asia's Leading Regional Airport title.
