The flower and gift market is heating up with a variety of products on offer at reasonable prices to mark the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982- November 20, 2024).
Supermarkets and online shops nationwide offer many sales promotion programmes in order to help customers easily buy things suitable to their needs, while showing their affection and love to teachers as part of this occasion. Many flower shops in Hanoi are selling a diverse range of flower bouquets to meet customers’ preferences. A quick survey conducted at the shops on Cau Giay, Kim Ma, Nguyen Trai, Pham Ngoc Thach, and Bach Mai streets show that the prices of flowers on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day have been left unchanged compared to normal days. Prices for a bouquet of 10 branches of roses, chrysanthemums, or sunflowers may vary from VND200,000 to VND400,000. Over the past few days many parents and students have ordered flowers to present to their teachers, with prices of bouquets averaging from VND300,000 to VND600,000, according to a flower shop owner on Pham Ngoc Thanh street in Dong Da district. Meanwhile, gift shops are also busy amid a growing number of orders. Silk flowers are among the favourite items this year. Many flower shops in the capital are selling diverse flower bouquets to meet customers’ preferences. Supermarkets and online shops also offer discounts of up to 50% on many types of gifts.
