2024 ASEAN Women's Futsal Championship: Vietnam beat Myanmar 5-2

The game was thrilling in the first half, with the Vietnamese women starting confidently and quickly scoring the opening goal in the 4th minute.

However, Myanmar responded with a structured play, scoring two goals just before halftime to take the lead against Vietnam. Vietnamese defenders played somewhat carelessly and made mistakes leading to both of the opponents’ goals.

In the second half, the Vietnamese women quickly regained their spirit and showed a positive performance, scoring four goals and sealing a 5-2 victory for Vietnam.

With the stunning win, Vietnam temporarily lead the group and hold a significant advantage going into the finals, with their rivals Thailand closely following in second place.

Vietnam are scheduled to take on Indonesia on November 18, at 3p.m.

The 2024 ASEAN Women's Futsal Championship is taking place in the Philippines from November 16 to 21.

All five participating teams – Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar and Indonesia – are playing in a single round robin format. The best two teams will ultimately compete for the championship title in the final match scheduled to take place on November 21.
